KOP Siget was crowned champion of the Croatian Beach Volleyball Club Championships in early August. The tournament concluded after 14 intense rounds, with the final stage held in Split. Should they decide to register, KOP Siget will represent Croatia in the preliminary rounds of the CEV Beach Volley European Cup 2025.
The domestic competition, known as HL-1 or the First Croatian Beach Volleyball League, features a double round-robin format. Each of the eight clubs in both the men`s and women`s divisions plays every other club twice over 14 rounds. In each club-versus-club encounter, two pairs compete, with two matches determining the outcome. A club earns two points for winning both matches, while shared wins result in one point for each.
The newly renovated courts of KOP Žnjan hosted the final stage of the Croatian Beach Volleyball League, where KOP Siget impressively claimed both the men’s and women’s titles.
In the women’s division, KOP Siget, despite some lineup changes, lived up to its favorite status. The senior team secured five wins out of eight matches, firmly holding their top position. HAOK Žal Banjole finished second, and the bronze medal went to the host club, KOP Žnjan.
KOP Siget`s men`s team also achieved their clear objective, winning six out of eight matches to secure the championship title with two rounds remaining. KOP Opatija took second place, and KOP Žnjan, the hosts, finished third, mirroring the women`s division results.
The season saw a total of 14 rounds and 112 matches played. KOP Siget`s victories in both divisions, sealed before the league`s conclusion, underscore their dominant performance in Croatian beach volleyball.
KOP Siget Domina la Liga Croata de Voleibol de Playa
KOP Siget se coronó campeón del Campeonato Croata de Clubes de Voleibol de Playa a principios de agosto. El torneo concluyó tras 14 intensas rondas, con la fase final celebrada en Split. Si deciden inscribirse, KOP Siget representará a Croacia en las rondas preliminares de la CEV Beach Volley European Cup 2025.
La competición nacional, conocida como HL-1 o Primera Liga Croata de Voleibol de Playa, se juega en un formato de doble round-robin. Cada uno de los ocho clubes, tanto en la división masculina como femenina, se enfrenta a todos los demás dos veces a lo largo de 14 rondas. En cada encuentro entre clubes, compiten dos parejas, con dos partidos que determinan el resultado. Un club obtiene dos puntos por ganar ambos partidos, mientras que los empates en victorias resultan en un punto para cada uno.
Las recién renovadas canchas de KOP Žnjan fueron sede de la fase final de la Liga Croata de Voleibol de Playa, donde KOP Siget se adjudicó de manera impresionante los títulos tanto masculinos como femeninos.
En la división femenina, KOP Siget, a pesar de algunos cambios en la alineación, estuvo a la altura de su condición de favorito. El equipo sénior obtuvo cinco victorias de ocho partidos, afianzando firmemente su primera posición. HAOK Žal Banjole quedó en segundo lugar, y la medalla de bronce fue para el club anfitrión, KOP Žnjan.
El equipo masculino de KOP Siget también logró su objetivo claro, ganando seis de ocho partidos para asegurar el título del campeonato con dos rondas de antelación. KOP Opatija quedó en segundo lugar, y KOP Žnjan, los anfitriones, terminaron terceros, replicando los resultados de la división femenina.
